For whatever reason I just remembered a favorite Sir Joshua Reynolds’ quote which apparently hung over Thomas Edison’s desk: “There is no expedient to which a man will not resort to avoid the real labor of thinking.” A nice reminder to be less ‘busy’ and to make more time for quiet contemplation.
